It seemed to go by so fast. It was so much fun, but unfortunatly only lasted 4 days. It was my grade 8 year end trip to Ottawa.
The excitment started the day before we left when we found out that we got a free upgrade from a tradition dorm room at the University of Ottawa, to a two bedroom suite in the University. The next day we left at 8 o'clock in the morning for a 7 hour bus ride. We were running behind schedule when we arrived in Ottawa so instead of letting some people change out of their pajamas that they wore for the bus trip, they had to wear them to the Parliment Buildings. On the first day we also got to go to the Diefenbunker, which is an underground nuclear bomb shelter for government officials. Later that night when we got to our rooms for the first time, we didnt get to eat until almost 11 o'clock.
The next day was much better because it was our first full day and we got to experience what we would be doing in the coming days. We would always have to wake up early for breakfast though, or else we wouldn't get the good food. This was the day we got to go to the Canadian Civilization museum, and the IMAX theatre. Since the Civilization museum tour took almost three hours, some of my friends and I fell asleep during the movie. So did some of our teachers!
Throughout the rest of the week we went to many different attractions and tourist destinations. i think the highlight of the trip was going on the river dance cruise thing.
All in all i think it was a very good trip and would do it again in a heaert beat.
